Editorial policy
Last updated September 2026
Pinerook is an independent publication about entrepreneurship, innovation and markets. These are the standards every story is held to.
Accuracy and sourcing
We report what we can verify, say how we know it, and link to primary sources wherever we can. Anonymous sources are used only when the information matters and cannot be had on the record, and at least one editor knows who they are.
Independence
Advertisers, partners and investors have no say over what we cover or how. Sponsored content is always labelled as such and written separately from the newsroom.
Bylines and expertise
Every story carries the name of the person who wrote it, with a profile describing their background. Stories written by the desk as a whole carry “Pinerook Editorial”.
Use of AI
Our journalists write and edit our stories. We use AI tools to help draft social-media summaries of published stories; an editor reviews and approves every one before it is posted.
Corrections
When we get a fact wrong, we correct the story and add a dated note at the end saying what changed. We do not quietly edit errors away. To report an error, contact us with the story's link.
Updates
Stories that develop are updated with new information and show the time of the latest update.
